Panel Test Fitting

Installed the doors, nose and fenders to check for panel fit after all that patching.  Had a few issues around the rear fenders, but all in all it came together pretty good.

Welding in recessed nuts for attaching the front fenders

Test fit with new recessed nuts installed - Nice!

Applying filler and getting the body smooth.  had to pound a lot of dents out of the rear valence and the roof, but managed to keep filler to a minimum.

Set up my "booth" to shoot High Build Primer on the body.

More patching...

Front Cowl - Drivers side.  Patching in for the fender to have something to bolt on to...

Rear fender welld patching and replacement. Driver's side was particularly bad and had lots of compound angles.  Luckily, almost all patches and metal work on this car will be hidden.  There was almost no work that needed to be done on the outside of the car that won't be covered up at the end

Wanna See Something Cool?

After the foor pan replacement the car sat for about a month and all that fresh sheet metal started to flash rust.  I needed to get underneath the car to clean it up and epoxy primer all that newly installed metal.  This is what I came up with.  As the experts say - Attempt this at your own risk.  Worked fine for me....

 And all prepped and primed!
